Patient Survey

PATCHS for patients: econsultation.  Link: https://patchs/practice/lanarkmedicalcentregroundfloor

Survey for patients to complete:

Your local NHS is seeking your views about the best times and locations for GP (doctor) and nurse appointments in the evenings and weekends.

Nationally the NHS has asked local practices to review the times to provide appointments at evenings and weekends. We want to capture information to support decision-making and make sure we are providing times, and locations that meet the needs of local people.

Our short survey will take no more than two minutes and your answers will help us to provide the best possible times and locations for our evening and weekend GP services.

Please complete our survey

COVID-19 contingency sharing: Primary care staff across each borough will be able to access your full medical record without consent during the COVID-19 pandemic however, they will only do so when it is necessary to provide you with care. They will be required to use a smartcard which confirms their identity, limits their access and actions to those appropriate for their role. They will all have been trained to understand their professional and legal responsibilities in providing you with care.

The NHS is very busy responding to the coronavirus pandemic and, at certain times, your GP practice may need to prioritise patients with the most urgent health needs.

If you have a health issue that isn’t urgent, advice is available on the NHS website or NHS app or you can speak to your local pharmacist. You can also use e-consult which is available through our practice website [add link]. If you aren’t sure what to do, please contact the practice who can advise you on how to get the help you need.

Please continue to attend tests, vaccinations and screening when invited. is also available 24/7 for urgent health advice or by calling 111, and 999 is for emergencies.”   ‘

NHS Covid vaccine Scam Several reports are circulating of people being contacted by fraudsters offering the Covid19 vaccine. The reports show text messages being sent providing a link for people to register their details to apply for the vaccine, some of which require payment. These text messages and links are not sent from, or linked to, the NHS. When you are eligible for the vaccine you will be contacted by your GP. NHS and other frontline staff will be contacted directly by your employer. The NHS will: • NEVER ask you to press a button on your keypad or send a text asking you to confirm you want the vaccine. • NEVER ask for payment for the vaccine or for your bank details. If you receive a text message from an unfamiliar number: • Do not respond to it or click on any links • Do not enter any personal or log on details • Do not make any payment

Dear Patients, As you will be aware, the COVID-19 rates of infection have increased to significant levels in our area. At the same time we need to maximise our work of vaccinating patients with the COVID-19 vaccine. We have been advised to free up time with our team to help look after patients with emergencies and protect patients with the vaccine. If your problem is an emergency then please call 999. If you need to contact the practice with other symptoms or queries please use the eConsult / Klinik link below. Your online form will be reviewed by a clinician and you will be contacted back with a text. You will either be contacted by the surgery to ask you more questions or you will receive a text on what to do next.

Dear Patients, As of the 16th March 2020 Due to the current public health outbreak, we are operating a total telephone triage approach for your safety. This means that you will be required to speak to a clinician before booking an appointment. DO NOT attend the surgery unless the doctor has specifically asked you to. If you feel unwell with flu like symptoms and are at risk of coronavirus, please call NHS111 to take specialist advice. Thank you for your co-operation.
